Fun Facts
I am very passionate about spending time outside. I love to bike, hike, swim, and play soccer. When I cannot be outside enjoying the weather, I enjoy playing board games, cooking, and drinking tea with friends.
About Me
I am a freshman studying Civil Engineering at the University of Minnesota. I am also pursuing minors in Mathematics and Ecological Engineering. In the future, I hope to design structures like bridges and windmills either in Minnesota or on the West Coast.
Experience
I became a Peer Tutor during my junior year of high school and quickly learned that I love to help other students experience their own "ah-ha" moments. I enjoyed my time as a tutor so much that I almost majored in education instead of pursuing engineering. Frog Tutoring allows me to continue to use my talent and passion for teaching while studying the "hard" sciences.
Approach
I approach learning very strategically. As a tutor, I focus on helping my students become more organized in their note taking and study skills so that they are capable of continuing to succeed on their own.

Physics I Tutoring
I have taken two years of physics in high school (AP Physics 1 and AP Physics 2) and received As in both courses. I also received an A in Physics 1 with calculus during the fall semester of 2016 and am currently enrolled AP Physics 2 with calculus. I am extremely comfortable with the concepts introduced in this course.
Algebra Tutoring
I have completed all levels of high school math as well as two years of college calculus (Calculus 1, Calculus 2, Linear Algebra and Differential Equation, and Multivariable Calculus). In addition, I am pursuing a minor in mathematics. I am confident in my ability to understand and explain all material in this course.

I am extremely organized in my own approach as a student. In tutor sessions, I strive to bring this same order to the lives of my students. More specifically, I help students learn to create calendars, lists, and schedules so that they can maximize their productivity throughout the year.

That being said, I am well versed in the science department and fully capable of assisting other students in their journey along the same track.
Study Skills Tutoring
I am extremely organized in my own approach as a student. In tutor sessions, I strive to bring this same order to the lives of my students. More specifically, I teach students study techniques such as the use of flash cards, verbal reading, and question/answer sessions so that they succeed in their current classes and are equipped to succeed in the years to come.

As a result, I have an advanced grasp on music theory as a whole and am fully capable to helping others to have the same.
