Fun Facts
I love traveling. I have lived in so many countries in Asia, Europe, and North America. I am familiar with different cultures and love to know more about them. I speak three languages fluently and love to learn more. I enjoy cooking and trying different cuisines. Last but not least I love laughing and dancing; I find those to be the best meditation techniques.
About Me
I am a foreign educated physician. I have taught different topics to medical students and other foreign educate physicians. I have a master’s degree in epidemiology from the US. I am enrolled in a program to pursue a family nurse practitioner license. My goal is to promote health in the community and educate the junior student. I am disciplined, patient, and responsible. I have good communication skills & strive to invest in & build rapport with my students and keep their success and goals as #1
Experience
Throughout medical school, residency and practice I worked with students in different levels and tutored them in science, biology, chemistry, biochemistry, epidemiology, anatomy, physiology, and literature mainly in Persian (Farsi) language. I worked with both local and exchange students from various cultures, with differing levels of skill in the English language. I tutored different age groups as they used to come to our lab to learn more about science and research.
Approach
My mother is a literature teacher in Farsi (Persian). She has largely influenced my tutoring approach and inspired me to become a teacher. My tutoring approach varies with each student. I assess the student’s strengths and weaknesses, observe and work with them to build a healthy tutoring relationship and making the student as comfortable as possible and ensuring optimal communication. I work to understand what motivates each student and what ultimately leads them to thrive.

Persian (Farsi) is my native language. My father has a master's degree in Persian language and my mother teaches it in high school. I have studied and read about the language in addition to the courses I have taken in college. I love the language and enjoy teaching it.

I took Nutrition in college prior to entering the nurse practitioner program. I received an "A" in the course and enjoyed studying it very well. I have also practiced so many aspects of it in my practice as a physician.
