Fun Facts

I went to Santa Monica College, and transferred to UCLA where I recieved my BS in Computer Science and Engineering. Im very passionate about computer science, and have tutored many students in that subject, as well as algebra, geometry, calculus 1-2, and physics. One interesting thing about me, is that ive written some programs, that show certain physical phenomena like gravity and even magnetism. I use "force bit" particles to push electrons/protons toward or away from each other.

About Me

I enjoy teaching and believe students should be enjoying learning. I am very interested in math and physics. Teaching has always given me a strong sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. I always remember the time when I was struggling with those subjects and it makes me feel good to know that I am helping someone else who is struggling.

Experience

I have had about a year of experience in academia. I spent ~32 weeks as a Supplemental Instructor at Santa Monica College, and another ~14 weeks as a public tutor. When I was a Supplemental Instructor, I only focused on college level pre-calculus but as a tutor, I covered all the calculus and physics subjects at the college level.

Approach

I like to let my clients learn at their own pace. I usually wont pressure them to move faster although I might occasionally give hints to make sure theyre going in a reasonable direction. I am usually very calm in explaining things, if I find the student has a hard time understanding something, I dont repeat things over and over again, I instead try to explain it in completely different ways until it finally clicks.
