Fun Facts
One of my biggest passions is music performance. I've been involved in music since I was 5 years old, have been taking violin lessons since the fourth grade, and have taught myself how to play the piano since I was 6. I was concertmaster of my middle and high school orchestras, and have played violin as a member of the Broomfield Symphony Orchestra since 2015. I've always thought of music as a way to connect with others; everyone has musical talent, even if you think you may not!
About Me
I am a sophomore at the University of Colorado Denver pursuing a pre-medical psychology major. I received a 4.0 GPA my freshman year and made it onto the Dean's List. After I graduate, I plan to attend the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical School to earn my M.D degree. Ultimately, I hope to being a career in neurology or neurosurgery.
Experience
Throughout high school, I helped tutor middle and high school students in math, science, and English through National Honor Society. This experience helped me realize my passion for teaching others, and I love helping students overcome learning obstacles and develop their own academic goals. Being a Frog Tutor gives me a great opportunity to help students realize their full academic potential and develop a long-lasting love for learning!
Approach
To me, learning is a delicate process that must be respected by those who teach. When helping students learn, I always make sure they understand and feel comfortable with a topic before moving on to the next. I reflect this in my teaching because understanding the core concepts is crucial for long-term retention. I also try to introduce a holistic method to teaching by helping connect the dots between different topics and disciplines, which helps students see the practicality in what they learn.
