About Me
I am a recent graduate from the UW with a BA in Political Science, History and Labor Studies. I have superb writing skills and this is an area which I am very confident tutoring others. My essays/theses across my time in college all scored between 3.7-4.0 and I also have a couple essays published in academic journals. I have also been involved in a couple editing groups during my undergraduate studies, where my writing and editorial skills have been further strengthened. Aside from writing, I also have extensive knowledge concerning relevant theories and concepts in Political Science and History.
I have worked with both high schools (grade 11-12) and university students with their college applications and class essays, respectively. I am also comfortable tutoring younger children and I believe that acquiring good writing skills at an early stage is beneficial in all aspects of learning. With my patience and helpfulness, I am convinced that I am capable of working with students across different ages.
In terms of my tutoring approach, it is very flexible and dependent on the students' situations. It can be a more reactive method in which tutoring can be primarily directed and focused on the homework itself. On the other hand, it can be rather pro-active and that I teach students relevant skills so they will be more capable to deal with their work. Though once again, there are definitely more flexibilities depending on the students' needs.
