Fun Facts
People quickly learn that I love running. I have completed multiple ultra marathons in addition to running distance cross country and track for my college. I attend college in Indiana although I am a native to Utah. I love skiing, rock climbing, hiking, and just being outdoors.
About Me
I am a senior chemical engineer/chemistry double major with a minor in Spanish at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Indiana (if you have never heard of the school, that's okay, just look it up). I have been on the Dean's list for my entire time at Rose while double majoring. My ultimate goal is work with renewable energy and sustainable development.
Experience
I work as a tutor in The Learning Center at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, where I tutor struggling students in their classes. I have also tutored at the high school and elementary school level. I actually taught a class my senior year of high school for struggling students called Applied Biology and Chemistry. Approach
I have always struggled grasping concepts, but once I understand a concept I will not forget it. As a tutor, I attempt to bring this notion to all my sessions. I believe I can positively impact students and won't stop until a student understands the material well enough to describe a certain concept to me. I want students to not only be able to regurgitate information for tests, but to understand the material well enough to explain it to me.
