I love watching old, classic movies and I like to go out to eat home cooked meals.
Also, I love spending time with my son and grandchildren.
I am the oldest and only boy and have four sisters.
I enjoy spending time with my family as well.
About Me
I have been a Spanish teacher for thirty-two years and have taught at the elementary, middle school and high school level.
I received my B.A. in Spanish language and literature from the University of Maryland College Park in 1983.
Also, I have been a Spanish tutor for four years and I tutor elementary to college students and adults as well.
Experience
I work at John Eaton Elementary school in the D.C.Public School system and I have worked there since August 2015. I am the recess monitor for grades Prek3- Grade5, as part of their Recess is Fun program.
Also, I work for Jeap, John Eaton Afterschool Program, in which I am the 5th grade aftercare counselor and I teach Spanish to grades Prek3-5.
Approach
As a teacher for many years I bring a fun and creative way of instruction. I use repetition in an effective manner so that my students can understand Spanish.
Also, I maintain an enthusiastic and positive attitude and always encourage the students. I always give them praise in and out of the classroom.
