I have a huge passion for anything related to food. I love to travel and try new things. I am the oldest of five and ended up having a passion to dance and music as well.
About Me
I am currently a college student at Alcorn where I am doing exceptionally well with a 3.6 GPA. I excelled in mathematics in high school, getting high grades (A's) in Algebra, Geometry, and Pre-Calculus. Math is a passion of mine and I enjoy helping other students get the grasps of concepts. Nevertheless, my skills go beyond math and I excel and have also tutored students in English, Grammar, Chemistry, and Spanish .
Experience
My Junior and Senior year in high school, I have assisted the middle school teachers in teaching their students math and met individually with the students after school for any additional support. I current assist the College Algebra students on my campus with various lessons. I truly enjoy tutoring students; being a tutor gives me a chance to give back to the community and help someone that is coming.
Approach
Growing up, I learned that students learned at their own pace and that is the concept I use when I help tutor other people. Not everyone is going to grasp a concept quickly and you must be willing to try different techniques in order to help understanding. Patience is a virtue that I use in all my session because you slowly realize that the student wants to understand it as much as you want them to; partnering together will help you achieve that same, mutual goal.
