About Me
I am a High School Special Education Teacher in Charlotte, NC. I have a Masters of Arts in Special Education degree and I plan to begin a Ph.D. in Urban Education soon.
Experience
I have always had a passion for tutoring beginning in my undergraduate college years. I was a tutor at the YMCA Kiddie Kollege and that ultimately led me to a career in education. I currently tutor throughout the area and at my school for students on my caseload. I believe that Frog Tutoring gives me more opportunities to assist students in need of assistance.
Approach
My approach varies depending on the student's needs and learning style. However, I use questions and examples to check understanding continually. My main goal is to establish structure for a healthy learning environment to enable the student to have a growth mindset. A growth mindset is the belief that one person has in regards to overcoming challenges. Together, we will be able to overcome challenges and reach the students' desired level of success.
