Fun Facts
I absolutely love football and even used to be a cheerleader at TCU! While I've recently retired and chosen to focus more on my studies, you'll still catch me at every home game!!
About Me
I'm a junior Nursing major at Texan Christian University! I'm also in the honors college and was on the TCU cheerleading team my freshmen and sophomore years. When I'm not in class, I like to hang out with my friends and nap. After graduation, I plan on going immediately into a hospital setting and working full time as a nurse in the ICU and then eventually go back to school to get my Masters or Doctorate in Nursing.
Experience
I've tutored many students on an as needed basis for almost all high school subject areas. While I specialize in math and science, I pride myself on being an all around student and feel confident to tutor in most core classes. I've also had the opportunity to work as a bi-weekly tutor for a student who was on the autism spectrum and am very comfortable working with children who have special needs. I'm thrilled to be working with Frog Tutoring in helping students in the Fort Worth community.
Approach
My mom was a teacher, so growing up, all of my homework questions were answered by her explaining the "why" behind my questions. I use this same method and feel like slowing down and learning the background of your math/science problems helps make learning much more efficient. Although it frustrated me at the time, I now see that her way left me with a much more complete understanding of the subject. By using this same teaching style, I am able to help your student achieve those results
