I'm a creative individual who thrives on thinking outside the box and encouraging others to do so as well. I'm a huge movie lover, always eager to learn something new (usually so I can write about it), and I'm crazy about my fluffy Ragdoll cat, Puss Puss. I also love traveling and taking road trips across the United States.

About Me

I graduated from Northern Kentucky University in 2008 with a BFA in Theatre. While in school I directed, wrote and produced a number of original plays that led to my co-founding Artemis Exchange, an award-winning theatre group that has performed in Cincinnati and Chicago. I moved to New York City in 2008, where I worked as a personal assistant at the Public Theatre. One day, I hope to operate my own theatre in Austin, Texas.

I was introduced to austin">tutoring as an undergraduate at NKU, where I received my certification from the College Reading and Learning Association in 2006. While at NKU, I worked as a austin">tutor for two years. Since graduation, I have worked as a freelance austin">tutor for college students in need of guidance in the subjects of English Composition, Literature, History and the Arts.

I learned as an undergraduate austin">tutor that it is very important to accommodate the particular needs of each individual student. Everyone has a different approach to learning. As a austin">tutor, I feel it is my job to guide the student toward the answers to challenging questions rather than provide the answers for them. For students who feel overwhelmed by a particular assignment, I encourage them to break the assignment down into smaller, achievable steps. I do my very best to help them with each step along the way. I find that this approach is successful and effective.
