I moved to Chicago from South Carolina, and I absolutely love living in the city. l like to play tennis and dance, although I can't dance at all!

About Me

I'm a junior majoring in Mathematics and science/illinois/chicago">Computer Science at the chicago">University of Chicago. When I graduate, I hope to attend graduate school for discrete mathematics.

Experience

During high school, I tutored calculus/illinois/chicago">pre calculus and physics. Throughout college, I've been a teaching assistant for the university, grading papers for and helping students with the introductory calculus and analysis sequences. I'm currently double majoring in mathematics and science/illinois/chicago">computer science, so I'm experienced with both subjects, inside and outside of the classroom. I serve as secretary of the Math Club and perform research in science/illinois/chicago">computer science with a professor at the chicago">University of Chicago.

Approach

With a subject like math, I think something people struggle with is seeing material presented and thinking they understand it, but not being able to replicate it on their own. My approach is therefore to work through problems with students and make sure to provide the framework for them to solve problems on their own in the future.
