Fun Facts
I grew up in the country in Northern California on a farm with chickens and other livestock. I have always been interested in giving back to my community by volunteering at hospitals and food clinics. I enjoy playing basketball and exploring the outdoors in my free time.
About Me
I am recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree in General Biology from UC San Diego. I am in the process of applying to medical school and hope to spend the rest of my life improving the quality of other's lives. I am passionate about helping the underserved populations and empowering those in need. During Highschool, after studying for the SAT for around a year I recieved a 2340 out of 2400 on the exam.
Experience
During highschool, I was a tutor in a calculus/california/san-diego">pre calculus and algebra class and found that I loved giving instructions and offering students a different way to see material. During university, I often tutored friends or other students who I had met through mutual friends.
Approach
My parents instilled a strong love of education in me as a young child. As I excelled in school, I became more confident in my abilities and developed strong study habits and a method that allowed me to maximize the time I spent on school. I try to use patterns and metaphors in my tutoring to help students grasp concepts in an easier manner. I also believe in repetition and the importance of practice.

General Biology
Anatomy Physiology I Tutoring
I recently took a fast paced anatomy and physiology course at UC San Diego in which I earned over 100%. I find the subject very interesting and enjoyed the course very much. I have learned a lot of knowledge from it.
Biology II Tutoring
As a general biology major I have taken many biology classes and earned the highest possible grade in them I have a strong background in biology and studied it as well for the MCAT. I understand the patterns of biology and the key concepts that build a foundation which allows one to succeed.
Math Tutoring
I took calculus in college and earned the highest possible score. Math has always been my strongest subject and I enjoy teaching it to others. I have a lot of short cuts and formulas which make the work more approachable for students.
Study Skills Tutoring
I was able to maximize my time in college to spend enough time studying to earn high grades without becoming overworked. I believe that I have a good sense of what subjects require more studying than others. I also study specifically for what the exam will test and know how to maximize the use of my resources.
Algebra Tutoring
I earned the highest possible grade in Algebra. I took it in middle school and due to my excellent work I was able to continue to succeed throughout my other studies such as in calculus. I have a very strong background in Algebra and a firm understanding of the concepts.
Algebra II Tutoring
I excelled in Algebra 2 in high school and earned the highest possible score. I have a firm understanding of the concepts and also tutored Algebra 2 during my senior year of high school.
Biology Tutoring
I have taken Biology and AP Biology in High School and earned the highest possible scores. My major at university is general biology. I have a strong understanding of the concepts and proper approach to succeed in this subject.
Biology AP Tutoring
I took AP Biology in highschool and earned an A both semesters. I also earned a five on the AP exam. I am very skilled in biology and possess a large amount of knowledge in the subject area.
Pre Algebra Tutoring
I took pre algebra during middle school and earned the highest possible score. I used my strong foundation in pre algebra to succeed in Algebra and Algebra 2.
SAT Math Tutoring
I recieved a 100% on the SAT Math prep portion of the exam when I took it. I have taken many kaplan courses on SAT Math. I also have recieved the highest possible score in all of the math concepts present on the SAT.
SAT Verbal/Writing Tutoring
I recieved the highest possible score on this portion of the SAT exam. I have a large SAT vocabulary and know the best study methods to excel in this portion of the exam.
Science Tutoring
I have a strong background in science as my major in college was General Biology. During highschool I recieved the highest possible score in all of my science classes.
Spanish I Tutoring
I have taken 5 years total of Spanish. I have also traveled to several spanish countries such as Bolivia and Costa Rica, where I used Spanish.
Math Advance Tutoring
I have a strong understanding of advanced math and earned the highest possible scores. I believe in practice and understanding the basic concepts in order to excel. I will work with your student to make sure they understand the most important equations and methods.
Middle School Math Tutoring
I have tutored math before at the Algebra and Pre Calculus Level. I earned the highest possible scores in middle school math and have retained the knowledge.
Spanish Tutoring
I took 2 years of Spanish in middle school and 3 years in highschool and earned the highest possible scores. I have used Spanish in my everyday life while traveling abroad to Bolivia and Costa Rica.
Microsoft Word Tutoring
I have a strong grasp of Microsoft word as I have used it for many years. I know a lot of short cuts and the right way to approach Microsoft Word and how to exploit it to accomplish exactly what you need.
MCAT Tutoring
I recently took the MCAT and earned a 517. I know the best study methods in order to excel on the test. I also know the most tested concepts and can provide extensive advice on how to prepare for the exam as well as how to identify one's weaknesses.
