Fun Facts

Many people are surprised to know that i have been playing soccer since I was eight years old. i have always stuck out as a kid because i have been athletic all throughout my elementary through college. Also, i have small tutoring gigs from time to time, kids seem to work well with me, as i work well with them.

About Me

I am currently a full time student (junior)attending UC Irvine. On the weekends I play soccer in an all women's team as well as tutor from time to time a few of my cousins kids. I have a lot of experience with children since i have three nephews(1 six month old whom i babysit, 1 eleven year old boy who I help out with homework, 1 eight year old with autism whom i help with homework as well. Also, 2 girls a five and six year old who i occasionally do arts and crafts with, take walks at the park,

Experience

As a home tutor, I have had the opportunity to work with many children with homework or school projects. I feel like these experiences benefit me for the career i choose later in my future. Working with children has taught me responsibility and dedication for the education of children.

Approach

Coming from a Mexican background, it was somewhat difficult to surpass the common stereo types of a Mexican american and their education. With the help of my mother and the dedication i have put into my education I can know say I am a few years closer to obtain my BA in Criminology, Law, & Society and one day hopefully work with children and their families. With all this being said, I am strong believer that everyone deserves an equal opportunity when it comes to education.
