About Me
I am a recent college graduate from Georgia State University where I studied journalism, public relations and psychology. I was named on the President's list and the Dean's list various semesters and I hope to pursue a Masters degree in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling at Mercer University. My ultimate goal is to have a positive impact on my communities by helping increase happiness.
Experience
I have over 4 years of tutoring and childcare experience, where I have tutored college peers, elementary, middle and high school students. I have mentored teenage girls with Girl Code as the Vice President, while creating positive environments to identify and prevent mental illness. Working with Frog Tutoring gives me the opportunity to make an impact on even more lives of students that need help!
Approach
As I child, I was labeled gifted, after changing schools, my teachers was not able to give me the attention that I needed and the specialized assignments. I began researching gifted programming and I was able to create my own games and assignments to keep my IQ high and I was able to transfer that knowledge to my nieces and students and challenge them to think outside of the box!E

English Tutoring
In high school I took AP English and I was given course credit for college, English has always been a subject that I excelled in. I have experience helping students understand how to formulate and organize ideas and fully answering questions by breaking down meanings and developing deep thinkers with excellent grammar.
Homework Coach Tutoring
I have been a homework coach, where I have helped students with all of their subjects. I was there to help them organize their workload, help them learn how to take breaks and assign them extra practice if I thought they needed it. I helped with all homework, and helped students get a head start on assignments.
Psychology Tutoring
I graduated from Georgia State University with a minor in psychology so I was able to learn and apply some of the principles that I learned. It has been a tremendous help to my college peers during tests and activities. I was able to identify and relate patterns of behaviors and thought processes in order to create an understanding with the student.
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
I have been teaching students and my younger family members how to read for comprehension for about 2 years now. I have always excelled in this area, and I am able to help students read questions and texts more carefully, as to break down the main ideas and as look for hidden meaning and themes within questions and texts. I am a gifted student, and test taking is one of my major areas of concentration.

Writing is a strong subject for me. I am able to analyze text very easily. I have a strong background in grammar and usage as I went to college for journalism, writing was a core part of the collegiate experience. I have been able to assist my students and peers with writing up to 20 page papers along with my experience in marketing and development which made researching and formulating and organizing ideas come naturally to me.

I am a excellent test-taker, as I have worked with various students to over study for exams and tests, which I have seen has drastically improved my grades and the grades of my students. It helps with recall and making sure that we implement the correct method of teaching so that the students understands the subjects.
