Fun Facts

Music is a big part of my life and I have been playing guitar since I started High School. I love to sing, despite not being very good at it and I am able to sing and play guitar simultaneously. I was born in California, but grew up in Michigan and have lived in Oregon for almost nine years.

About Me

I am a Political Science major at portland-state-university">Portland State University and am considering a minor in History. After college, I plan to spend some time with the Peace Corps and eventually work for the U.S. State department. My goal is to one day become a diplomat.
My first job as a portland">tutor is with Frog portland">Tutoring. Prior to that, I often helped my friends and classmates who needed help with their schoolwork. In math class, I would help explain concepts and in other classes I would help proofread essays.
I believe that each student as different strengths and weaknesses and ways of learning. By that logic, I do not think there can be one set approach to portland">tutoring. Typically, though, I prefer to use the Socratic Method along with example work and classroom note-taking skills.
