About Me

Experienced LSAT Tutor and licensed attorney in Texas. Currently pursuing an LL.M. in Taxation at Northwestern with a focus on international taxation and wealth transfer.

Experience

Sat for various LSAT’s from between 2017-2019, taking the exam 3 times and improving my score each time. I initially scored a 144 with self-study and realized I needed help, so with the help of a personal tutor I raised my score to a 160. Afterwards, I took the material I learned, in part from myself and in part from my own tutor, and crafted study plans to help future students. Since 2020, I have tutored numerous students and seen consistent improvement in their understanding of the material.

Approach

As a visual learner, I create documents and charts to try and simplify the foundational material into easily digestible content. From there, I present practice questions in increasing difficulty and across various subjects. Finally, I put the responsibility on the student to apply what they have learned and to utilize my help as a supplement rather than as a crutch.

Communication Tutoring

Developed from the courses of Public Speaking, Interpersonal Communication, Communications Ethics as well as a variety of group presentations and outside work experience dealing with clients in an office setting. Communication more than anything is an innate interest of mine and something I have taken fond interest to over the years.

English Tutoring

English serves as a basis of expertise for me, given the nature of my major (Historical Studies) and elective courses (Literature and Political Science). This field includes requisite skills such as critical thinking and articulate writing. Has been further developed from my studies in preparation for the law school admission test.

History Tutoring

Acquired a B.A. in Historical Studies at The University of Texas at Dallas. Areas of focus include pre-Revolutionary War, the Enlightenment and the Holocaust. Learned how to craft essays with a direct thesis and relevant supporting material to bolster the primary argument brought forward.

Literature Tutoring

Took a variety of Literature courses as electives throughout my undergraduate degree including Literary Analysis and Contemporary American Literature for which I received high marks in both courses. Learned tangible skills such as poetry scansion, close reading and essay writing in these courses. Assisted peers in both courses, notably Literary Analysis, in understanding the material and essay writing.

Political Science Tutoring

Acquired a minor in Political Science at The University of Texas at Dallas, partially a function of my desire and interest at going to law school. Courses taken include Constitutional Law, Political Theory and Human Rights and Rule of Law. Learned a variety of skills from argument crafting in Constitutional Law to critical thinking in Political Theory.

Writing Tutoring

A vital component of virtually every course I took at The University of Texas at Dallas, from Historical Studies to Literature to Political Science. Am very flexible in terms of either crafting a thesis from text or following a specific prompt and recalling information. Developed the ability to write concise but supported and articulate papers from the courses mentioned.
