Fun Facts
I love to spend time playing all kinds of videogames during my free time, especially team-oriented games that require a lot of communication, but most of the time you'll find me studying or doing homework while listening to music. When I was about 10 years old, I moved to the United States with my family from Chile, so I am fluent in Spanish. I also know some French since I took 3 years of French back in high school. I have a Cocker Spaniel named Tommy and I love taking care of him.
About Me
I am a Senior Chemical Engineering major at the University of Arizona. I have been in the Dean's list before and I have a GPA above 3.6. On my first semester of college, I took advanced classes for my academic standing due to my success in the AP exams back in high school, making me realize that studying was going to be essential for my success from my very first year and I would like to show students that with patience and perseverance, they can also succeed on their classes!
Experience
During my first year of college, a lot of students (mostly my friends) wanted some extra help with their studies, specifically on chemistry. Instead of having to go to study sessions where they would end up not completely understanding the concepts, they would go to me and I'd clarify to them. I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others in a way to make them further understand what they are being taught, and that is why I'd like to have an opportunity to help others with subjects I've mastered.
Approach
As a tutor, I'd like to be able to go over the concepts on the subjects first before every session with a positive attitude with the student I'm tutoring, and then guide him/her through each problem without giving them the answers right away.

Calculus I Tutoring
As a chemical engineering major, I have to use basic calculus I concepts all the time, which has made me proficient enough to be able to easily help others who are looking for more help.
Calculus 2 Tutoring
I first struggled during the first few weeks of calculus II because I couldn't find a way to study properly, but once I studied in a way that made sense to me by working hard, I got an A on the last exam and got a B on the final and in the overall class. I use concepts from calculus II all the time due to my major so I've become proficient at it and I'm always helping my classmates with calculus problems.
Chemistry II Tutoring
I ended up with an A in the class and it was part of my first semester in college. Last semester, I constantly helped my friends with their chemistry II homework and they ended up with a good grade in the class.
