I love trying new and exotic foods. I am originally from Ethiopia and my family is very big on cooking and infusing American style foods with spices and variety. Some of my other favorite types of foods are Mediterranean and Indian.

About Me

I am currently pursuing a Doctorate at Physical Therapy at Florida International University. I am currently the VP of my cohort When I graduate, I hope to work in a pediatric setting and help children with gait and functional deficits.

Experience

Upon entering college, I was eager to begin working with students and volunteered with my local community service club tutoring inner city youth from middle to high school in a variety of subjects. I know how important it is to have a strong foundation in math, english, science and social sciences.

Approach

Children and young adults are powerful beyond what they are given credit for.Given positive encouragement and persistence, they can realize thier true potential. As a tutor, I attempt to bring a positive attitude to all of my sessions. Instead of giving students answers, I feel it is my responsibility to not only teach them the content, but study skills that will help them be successful in all classes.
