Fun Facts

Something fun about me is that I am an avid reader! I take a book with me everywhere I because you never know when you could use a great escape. I played volleyball for 5 years but stopped once I got to college. Although I am very athletic I never stick with a sport for too long. If you were to ask my dad, I could have been the world's next biggest golf star! The world may never know.
Art is the biggest hobby in my life. Similar to reading, it allows me to escape into my own little world!

About Me

I am a Freshman at Texas Christian University studying Early Childhood Education. My high school GPA was 3.5 and my goal for college is to make that a 4.0. Being in the College of Education, it is my ambition to become a 1st grade teacher after I graduate. I was a part of National Honor's Society as well as National Art Honors Society all through high school. Although born in California, I have grown up my entire life throughout Texas. I am a proud Texan.

Experience

I have worked at a daycare for a year in which I taught as an Assistant Teacher for Pre-K to Elementary School age. Here I would help the older children with their homework and learning skills. The younger children I helped teach on a daily basis. I also did volunteer work

Approach

As a tutor and future teacher, it is my ambition to create a comforting learning environment for the child so that they feel open enough to ask questions. I hope to improve upon the student's learning skills and ways of studying by providing techniques in order to enhance their education. I take it upon myself to be patient and considerate of the fact that not everyone learns in the same way. Therefore, I believe it is up to me to conform how I help each child based on their needs.
