Fun Facts

I love traveling and save a portion of the money I make each year to spend on trips. I have traveled to over 25 countries in my lifetime. It is my goal to one day reach 100!

I have been heavily involved in athletics since a child, mainly in combat sports. I have a black belt in Taekwondo, am a state champion in Jujitsu, and have wrestled for 11 years. I also enjoy skateboarding and surfing.

About Me

I am currently a senior at New York University, double majoring in science/new-york/manhattan">Computer Science and Economics. Growing up in Silicon Valley, I developed a love for technology at an early age. But I've also always been very interested in business, which is what drew me to NYC to study. After graduation, I plan on working somewhere in the financial services industry.

While competing for NYU’s wrestling team, I also work at a program called Beat the Streets, which provides SAT and general manhattan">tutoring to local high school students. In high school, I tutored fellow students for their upcoming AP exams. I also have several years experience as team captain. I served as a mentor for young teammates, teaching them how to handle both their academic and athletic lives.

My approach is manhattan">tutoring is to teach in the most effective way for the specific student. This involves trying out multiple styles (drawing diagrams, working through examples, preparing study guides, lecturing...etc) and seeing which style the student responds to the most. Furthermore, I believe it is important the student knows the reasoning behind a problem solving methodology and why it is used, not just memorize the formula and know when to apply it. After learning a concept, I often have students explain it back to me in their own words to make sure they understood the idea thoroughly.
