
Fun Facts
People wouldn't easily guess, but I love climbing, hiking, and especially horseback riding. A little bit easier to guess, I'm also crazy about space, and hope to become an astronaut. I have two younger siblings, and have lived in six different states thanks to my Dad being in the army.
About Me
I am a Mechanical Engineering and Physics double major at the springs">University of Colorado, springs">Colorado Springs. When I graduate, I hope to either go work with NASA or continue in school to get my Masters in Mechanical Engineering. Eventually, I plan on applying for the astronaut canidancy program, and hope to go to space someday!
Experience
I've been a math and science springs">tutor among my friends ever since I can remember, but after high school, I started springs">tutoring more officially and picking up more students. I also spend time every summer working as a counselor, and so I also have a lot of experience working with and teaching children.
Approach
Math always came easily to me. For some reason, i saw it differently than my peers, and it just clicked, but I always did my best to help them see it more easily too. As I got older, I started to realize just how much I enjoy helping people learn, especially when all they need is seeing it from a different point of view. This is my primary approach when springs">tutoring, teaching the same subject from a different point of view, so that my student can truly understand the subject matter.

Physics and Mechanical Engineering
EnrolledAutoCAD Tutoring
I have taken a multitude of CAD courses, both in high school and college. They've involved both 2D and 3D drafting, as well as designing pieces given specifications. My main experience is in AutoCAD and Solidworks, but I can pick up any drafting software quickly.
Business Calculus Tutoring
I have a lot of practical calculus experience, having taken it for many years. Between those classes, and economics classes, I have plenty of experience in applying calculus to business.
Calculus I Tutoring
I took Calculus 1 junior year of highschool. I'm now well into my majors in college, and I constantly use Calc 1 topics day to day in my current classes. Calculus is second nature at this point.
Calculus 2 Tutoring
I took Calculus 2 as a senior in highschool. Just like Calc 1, I'm constantly needing to apply Calc 2 to my current classes, and so I feel very confident in my calculus tutoring abilities.
Calculus 3 Tutoring
I took Calculus 3 my first year in college, and it came to me just as quickly as other math classes. I constantly found myself helping my classmates with their homework, And would have taken a position at my schools math tutoring center if not for my busy schedule.
Chemistry I Tutoring
Despite being a Mechanical Engineering and Physics major, I really enjoy chemistry. It came easily, and I enjoyed connecting the dots between other subjects. I did very well in my chem classes, and wish I had enough time to take more of them.

College Algebra Tutoring
I've been teaching algebra at various levels for many years now. Since I constantly have to use it for my own education, I am constantly refreshing my knowledge on the subject, making it easy for me to teach.
Elementary Statistics Tutoring
I have a strong grasp on statistics after how much it was used in a couple of my Engineering courses. Much of engineering involves basic statistics, and so I've had to use it a lot.
Mechanical Engineering Tutoring
I'm a Mechanical Engineering and Physics double major. The two have paired together very nicely, complementing each other and rounding out my knowledge. My focus is Dynamics & Controls, but I am confident in all areas of engineering.
Math Tutoring
I have many years of both lower and upper math course experience. Math has always come easily to me, and is what I have spent the most time tutoring in.
Math Advance Tutoring
In addition to my MAE and Physics double major, I have a math minor as well. Because I use it so often, I have a lot of practice in both Differential Equations and Linear Algebra, and have no problems with either.
Physics Advance Tutoring
In addition to my Mechanical Engineering major, I'm also a Physics major. I have had plenty of advanced physics courses, and coupled with my engineering courses, I feel very comfortable teaching physics.
Physics I Tutoring
I took Physics 1 and 2 as a joint AP class senior year of highschool. I got a 5 in Physics 1, and have since gone on to major in Engineering and Physics. Dynamics is my strongest subject area when it comes to physics.
Physics II Tutoring
I took Physics 1 and 2 as a joint AP class senior year of highschool. I got a 4 in Physics 2. I've also taken advanced Electrodynamics courses as part of my Physics major.
Pre Calculus Tutoring
Pre-Calculus always came easily to me. It is the subject that I have spent the most time tutoring in, and so I have plenty of experience in approaching the difficult subjects from different views, as well as tricks to learning and remembering it.
Trigonometry Tutoring
Like Calculus, I use trigonometry so often in my current courses that I don't even think about it anymore. Even the various trigonometric identities have become basically second nature. I can teach through not only theory but application.

Being an Engineering and Physics major, I use algebra every day. Using it so much has given me a very broad understanding of it and different ways to view and teach it.

I always loved geometry and going through the proofs. My classmates hated proofs, but geometry was always really enjoyable for me for some reason. After lots of trigonometry, geometry comes easily to me.

SAT Math Tutoring
Math has always come easily for me, and is what I've spent the most time tutoring in. In addition, I scored very high on my ACT and SAT math sections, and know that I could help others prepare for it as well.

Science has always been my favorite subject, and I'm still going to school for it today as an Engineering and Physics major. I love encouraging a love for science in those that I teach.

I scored a 34 on my Reading ACT, and have always been a strong reader. I enjoy encouraging reading in the younger people that I tutor, as I feel it played a strong part in my education path today.
ACT Science Tutoring
I scored a 34 on my Science ACT, and I have always loved science. In addition, much of the science ACT is interpreting charts, graphs, and data, which relates strongly to what I have to do as an engineer a lot of the time.
MATLAB Tutoring
I have taken courses in MATLAB, and most of my engineering courses require using it for solving problems. I have both a good theoretical programming knowledge as well as a practical knowledge in how to apply MATLAB, as well as its strengths.
