Fun Facts

In my spare time, I enjoy crocheting. So far, I've made a blanket and a scarf. I am still practicing. I am the oldest of 3 girls and very close to my family. You can normally catch me hanging with my mom and my sisters at the mall or catching a movie with my day.

About Me

I am a Math Coach at Central Piedmont Community College. Along with tutoring Math, I tutor Chemistry. My future plans are to go to medical school to specialize in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Experience

During my graduate school career, I've tutored between the ages of 8 to a college level, mainly in math. At the moment, I tutor common Math and Chemistry I and II at Central Piedmont Community College. My goal is to help students understand the material.

Approach

Based off of experience, I am a visual learner. You show me how to work out a problem and I can emulate it. It's all about making connections and understanding the given. However, I've worked with students who all they have to do is listen to me talk and they grasp it. I'm all about showing how to work out a problem and allowing the students to use their notes to do practice problems. The practice they practice the problems, the more it comes naturally.
