Fun Facts
One of my favorite things to do is spend time outdoors, particularly around rivers or lakes like the one's I grew up around in Tennessee! I also enjoy reading and trying new restaurants with friends. I am also a first-generation college graduate and, now that I am working on my master's degree, a first-generation graduate student!
About Me
I am a second-year Master of Divinity student at Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University. Once I complete my studies here, I plan to pursue ordination with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and military chaplaincy.
Experience
While I am new to tutoring, I have had the pleasure of spending a great deal of time working with college students. While I was a college student in Oklahoma City, I had a job as a Teacher's Assistant in the Religion department. In that role, I had the opportunity to help students with their writing and comprehension of the various topics they were studying. Through these experiences, I learned that I have a passion for education. I am eager to explore this passion further with Frog Tutoring!
Approach
Learning is a partnership. It is vital for me, as the tutor, to let the student teach me about how they learn best so I can effectively aid the student in learning the material. As each student approaches learning differently, it is my goal to adapt my approach to each individual student. As such, I will seek to incorporate visual, aural, kinesthetic, and verbal elements into the learning process.

Graduate CourseworkPsychology Tutoring
I have taken 27 credit hours of psychology coursework on the undergraduate level, earning an A in all but one course, the Intro to Psychology course I took in my freshman year in which I received a B. These courses included Multicultural Psychology, Psychological Statistics, and Abnormal Psychology. While my degree is in Religion, I have been able to apply what I have learned in these courses as a chaplain in various contexts. As an undergraduate, I regularly aided other students with learning the material, particularly in Abnormal Psychology.
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
As a Religion major, I was expected to be able to comprehend a large amount of material in a short period of time. As such, I have learned to read with a keen eye to detail. This skill enabled me to graduate magna cum laude with my bachelor's and remain on the Dean's List during my graduate studies.
Religion Tutoring
I graduated magna cum laude from Mid-America Christian University with a religious degree. I have also been on the Dean's List at Brite Divinity School at TCU where I am in the process of earning a Master of Divinity degree. Moreover, I served as the Teaching Assistant to a religion professor while in college, a position that provided multiple opportunities to aid students in writing papers for their religious courses. As such, I have extensive experience with this subject area.
