Fun Facts

I enjoy teaching history so much that I make it a goal to travel outside the country every other year.I have visited Spain,Europe and will visit France next summer.I'm an outdoor -adventurous kind of guy.For my birthday a few years ago,I went skydiving!!! How cool is that?Writing is my first love. I find it therapeutic,and a save haven for my thoughts. Most of all, I love talking with people.

About Me

I attend the arlington">University of Texas in Arlington. I am in my junior year and pursuing a Broadcast Communication degree. I am an UTA honor student with a GPA of 4.0. After receiving my BA, I will attend the University of North Texas to purse complete the Family & Relationship Counseling Masters Program. Currently I am a member of UTA's Golden Key International Honor Society as well as the Honors College of UTA

As a facilitator and Youth Counselor I have had the opportunity to watch youth learn on life skills: self- respect for self and others, that translated into confidence in the class room. Many of my former students didnt have the believe in themselves, so they didn't give effort to academics success. However over time and with consistent development, many of my former students were able to dig of the dreams they previously buried within negative thinking.

Indeed every child/teenager learns different. Therefore, I take the mental approach first and foremost. I try to see how each student thinks and tailor my tutoring accordingly. Once I also try to be a re-enforcer of confidence. Because most learning blocks are mental blocks- emotional block, I strengthen students confidence in their abilities which in turns helps them trust and commit to the process. Doing so, brings down the mental block and build academic success in its place.
