Fun Facts

I was a national swimmer in college and swam the International Bosphorus Race in Istanbul twice. I love to swim now for fitness, as well as teach private swim lessons in the summers. I have lived in multiple countries and traveled extensively throughout the Middle East, Africa and Europe. I love to travel and learn other languages and immerse in different cultures.

About Me

I am an epidemiologist and worked with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) overseas in Africa and the Middle East. I then transitioned to the private, pharmaceutical sector as a pharmacoepidemiologist. I hope to complete my DrPH in London and eventually do my own epidemiology consulting.

Experience

I taught English and Biology as a teacher in Turkey at a private university after college for a year before graduate school. I then taught field epidemiology and public health to doctors with the Ministry of Health in Zambia and Egypt through my role as an epidemiologist with CDC. I now tutor and teach swim lessons privately in the Princeton, NJ area and love to teach, mentor, inspire and empower students academically and athletically.

Approach

I have always loved learning and it's a joy to teach learning and studying skills that I've developed throughout my education and career. I like to guide students and teach them confidence so that the are able to problem solve and find meaning in what their learning so that they can eventually follow their passions.
