Fun Facts
I'm an avid reader and writer, and a bit of a "word nerd." If my face isn't buried in a book, I'm probably watching "Extras" or "Game of Thrones" or attempting to play guitar (to say that I am even an amateur is a generous exaggeration). My musical tastes touch a variety of genres, and I love going to concerts as much as my schedule and wallet will allow.
About Me
I am a senior in the English program at the University of Arizona and will complete my B.A. in English with a minor in Creative Writing in the spring before working toward my M.A. I am well acquainted with the common canon of literature that is used in the curricula of middle schools, high schools and colleges nationwide, and can provide insight into these works in the course of our sessions. I have received a 3.75 GPA in my English courses and a 4.0 GPA in Creative Writing courses, as well as achieving "Excel" scores on all three standardized AIMS tests in high school.
I have worked with friends, co-workers, and classmates in the past, and in reviewing and revising their work have built a skill set of critical revision and instruction tools that are both engaging and accessible. While every student's needs are different, I have had success in helping others improve their writing and critical reading and comprehension skills throughout my time at the University.
Whether you need help with reading or writing, I have the skills to help you work overcome your obstacles and strengthen your command of the English language.
