Fun Facts

I grew up in West Hollywood, CA and I have worked in Education, Advertising, Promotion, Marketing, and the Entertainment fields throughout my life. I love musicals, plays, dining out, and travel. I have been to London, Paris, Switzerland, Rome, Venice and Florence.

About Me

I am married with no children. I love my Shiz Tsu Skye and love mostly small dogs.

Experience

I graduated CSUN in 1976 with a degree in Child Development/Early Childhood Education. I majored in Psychology for 3 years but ended up getting my BA degree in Child Development. I have worked as a Teaching Assistant for First and Second grades at Valley View Elementary for 9 months part time. I have also worked tutoring First and Second graders in my area of Agoura Hills for the last several years on a part time basis.

Approach

My experience with children has been very positive as I have learned mostly positive approaches to education while I was at CSUN and afterwards. I don't have a specific method but I always ask questions of the child/children to learn where their interests lie and what their personality is like. I try and bring out their personalities during my tutoring. I have tutored 2nd grade girls in Reading, Language Arts, some Math; and homework who live in Morrison Ranch.and Agoura Hills.
