Fun Facts
I was a competitive figure skater for about 10 years and I still skate and teach sometimes! I speak multiple languages and I love learning them as much and as often as I can. I also love music and love playing it.
About Me
I am a freshman at the washington">University of Washington, Seattle and I am majoring in Public Health as a premedical student. My goal is to become an OBGYN and work in rural populations and public health settings. I am currently a 3.9 student and hope to continue placing on the deans list for the continuation of my time here.
Experience
I have always loved teaching and have sought to do it often as volunteer work. However, in high school, I created a club for ELL students to help them succeed in their classes. I taught, translated, and prepped students for normal and ELL exams. I also sometimes attended classes with them to assist in translation or explanation. As a tutor, I seek to teach my students to be confident in themselves and strive to learn and ask questions.
Approach
My approach is to create an individualized teaching program; I believe every student learns differently and no one way works for all. I leave my phone number for students to contact me in need of help with homework or other issues with no charge. I try to make the session fun and get to know the student as a person--that way I can make things easier for them to understand and be more engaging.

Public Health
AP English Tutoring
I took AP Literature and AP Language and received As in both classes as well as 3s and 4s on the AP test. I have previously tutored AP Lang in high school and plan to tutor AP Lit if needed.
Biology Tutoring
I have taken AP Biology and Chemistry as well as beginning college courses in it. I can also help in basic biochemistry if needed.
Economics Tutoring
I have taken both AP Micro and Macro Economics and it is one of my favorite subjects. I got high As in both classes and have helped many of my peers within the subject.
English Tutoring
English is one of my best subjects and has been for my entire academic experience. I have a lot of experience tutoring in English--students my age and younger. I have taken two Ap classes and tests and have received high grades in all.
ESL Tutoring
I volunteered as a TA for the ESL class at my school and also created and managed a club for it. I have tutored many ELL students and still continue to do it today.
Government Tutoring
I have taken AP Government and it was one of my favorite classes. I received an A in the class and a high AP test score. I think government is one of the most important classes students can take and should be passionate about. It is one of my favorite things to teach as well because I understand the importance.
History Tutoring
History has always been one of my favorite subjects and is something I do well in. I have taken history for about 10 years now and will continue to do so in college. I read books to understand even more so I am confident in more than just American history--as I know world history as well. I have also done AP histories and have scored well.
Homework Coach Tutoring
Knowing how to do homework efficiently is extremely important in opinion. I volunteered in a homework club for most of high school to help students with this. I though most students found it really helpful and they worked hard.
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
Because I speak multiple languages, I have taught many of my students how to read in both English and Spanish. I continue to tutor ELL/ESL students in reading comprehension for English from middle school-college levels.

I have been speaking Spanish since I was a child (kindergarten) and completed up to AP Spanish in high school. I have worked in homework club to tutor students in high school Spanish and middle and elementary school.
