Fun Facts

One passion that most people do not know about me is I love WWE wrestling! Any time I see it on T.V. I have to stop whatever I am doing to watch it. Also,I enjoy country line dancing and singing karaoke. Singing has always been one of my favorite hobbies and I hope to be in a talent show in the future.

About Me

I am currently a sophomore at Eastfield College studying early childhood education. By the end of this summer I will graduate with an associates degree! (Very excited).After that,I plan on transferring to the arlington">University of Texas in Arlington to peruse a bachelors degree in early childhood education.

Experience

In high school, I was a peer tutor for the STARR prep program. I was an English and Reading tutor and I loved every second of it. After high school, I worked at two different day cares as an infant teacher and was also a volunteer teacher's assistant at Floyd elementary school in Mesquite.

Approach

Growing up, I watched my brother struggle though school; he has dyslexia, and how he would cry every time it came down to doing homework. He thought he was stupid and wasn't capable of learning. No child should ever feel like they aren't good enough, whether it is school related or not. As a tutor, I make sure to help the student feel comfortable and safe in my learning environment. I use positive reinforcement as well as constant "Way to go's!".
