About Me

I prefer live events to screen time, smoothies to sodas, thrift stores to Mall outlets, neighborhood dinners to fast food joints and trains to cars. I strive to recycle or compost whatever I don't re-purpose. I solve crossword puzzles and integrals when stressed.

Experience

I have been tutoring since high school along with receiving my BS & MS in Chemistry, substitute teaching, a stint in industrial labs and even a season as a clerk at World of Science.

Approach

For math base problems I work with the student through several steps as needed. Starting with the general concepts then identifying variables and relevant equations we move through the appropriate math for the specific question. Along the way common errors are noted along with some variations of the set up that would change the answer .With organic chemistry the I stress structural awareness and electron movement when working through reactions.
