I have a knack for the arts and love creating costumes and special effects. I have a reputation on campus for my detailed Halloween costumes. I adore animals and currently have six.

About Me

I am a second grade ESL teacher in north east Austin. I graduated from St. Edward's University with a Bachelor's in English Language Arts and Education with a minor in Fine Arts.

Experience

I have taught in a Title I school in Austin I.S.D. for five years. I have experience in both first and second grade ESL. I am GT (Gifted & Talented) certified, as well as, SAMA (Satori Alternative to Managing Aggression) certified. I have worked with students that are gifted, aggressive, have learning disabilities such as dyslexia, and special ed. and students who are beginning to acquire English.

Approach

I am a very patient and dedicated person. I believe it is important to use a person's differences as strengths. I enjoy helping students realize that what they believe are their flaws can actually be their strengths.
