Fun Facts

I play on the varsity football team at Carnegie Mellon University! Football is one of my passions, and it has driven me throughout my life! I enjoy playing basketball with friends, along with skiing and tubing in the winter!

About Me

I am a junior Mechanical Engineering major, Business Administration minor at Carnegie Mellon University. It is a very academically rigorous school, and I am on my way to finishing up my Bachelor's in mechanical engineering in 3 more semesters. I plan on graduating and then joining the workforce, getting a job in mechanical engineering and then going back to school after a couple years to get my master's.

Experience

My first experience was that I tutored kids in my high school during my senior year of high school. I tutored in calculus and algebra courses because I had done very well in those classes, and the teachers recommended me to tutor them. It was very rewarding to see the kids I tutored understand the content through my teaching. I love Frog Tutoring because it gives me the opportunity to continue doing that!

Approach

My most influential teacher was my calculus teacher my junior year of high school. She stressed the importance of doing a couple problems every time something new is introduced, and also stressed the importance of understanding the concepts behind the math. These lessons have stuck with me and proved the be the only way to get good grades in college. I try to use what I learned from her in my tutoring sessions, because those lessons are essential to understanding higher level topics thoroughly.

Calculus I Tutoring

I have taken Pre-Calculus, Calculus 1, Calculus 2, and Calculus in 3-D (Calc 3), and I am also studying Mechanical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. I use calculus in almost all my core engineering classes such as heat transfer and thermodynamics; integrals are common in these classes.

Calculus 3 Tutoring

I have taken Pre-Calculus, Calculus 1, Calculus 2, and Calculus in 3-D (Calc 3), and I am also studying Mechanical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. I use calculus in almost all my core engineering classes such as heat transfer and thermodynamics; integrals are common in these classes. I also have experience with double and triple integrals which are a very big part of calculus 3. Understanding and being able to visualize a three dimensional shape is key in this course, and I have a lot of experience with it.

Mechanical Engineering Tutoring

I have taken 3 years of mechanical engineering courses at the #4 ranked undergraduate college for engineering. I have taken thermodynamics, statics, stress analysis, fluid mechanics, dynamics, heat transfer, and engineering design 1.

Physics I Tutoring

I have taken physics 1 an 2 in college, and use physics in almost all of my engineering classes as physics is a key aspect to mechanical engineering.

Algebra Tutoring

Algebra was my favorite subject in high school, and I've taken algebra, pre-algebra, and algebra 2. I never received below an A in high school for any math course, so I am confident I can tutor people into doing the same.

Calculus Tutoring

I took calculus AP both calculus BC in my junior and senior years of high school. I received an A in both these courses, and am confident I can do the same to students I tutor. I also use calculus in almost all of my engineering courses.

Calculus AP Tutoring

I took calculus AP both calculus BC in my junior and senior years of high school. I received an A in both these courses, and am confident I can do the same to students I tutor. I also use calculus in almost all of my engineering courses.

Math Tutoring
