Fun Facts

I love to help students learn, watching them understand a concep is the best feeling ever. I lalso love Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and other movies. My favorite character is Sherlock Holmes. Finally, my favorite books are 100 years of Solitude, Jane Eyre, Frankenstein, and Vanity Fair. I also love the Inferno and the Odyssey.

About Me

I was a graduate student at SJSU. I am entering the credential program in the spring. I want to teach English in highschool. My GPA for graduate school is 3.63. I have taken multiple English classes, which will help me tutor you in anything English related.

Experience

I taught English 1A at SJSU.for a year and a half I taught 23 students per semester. I wrote the syllabus, created the assignments, and graded the assignments. The assignments were a narrative essay, a gender language essay, and a stasis theory trial. I also was a graduate assistant for one year. I had to grade the assignments and the exams. Moreover, I had to meet with students to help them excel in the classroom.

Approach

I struggled in highschool. My approach is a few things. First, I find out what the student is passionate about and try to connect that to the assignment or a way to understand the assignment. I also try different methods, audio, visual, lecture, and group to get the student to understand the assignment. Furthermore, I have the student write multiple drafts. The more they write the better the writing will become. Last, I make sure the student knows that I care about their learning experience
