Fun Facts

An interesting fact about me is that I recently moved to an entirely new city by myself and did it all in a matter of days! It's been a scary experience, but I'm determined to make the best of it. I love soccer, though I am not very good at it. I also have a passion for making art, which I do as a personal hobby.

About Me

I am currently pursuing a Biotechnology MS at the central-florida">University of Central Florida. Prior to this, I earned my Bachelors degree in Biological Sciences from Florida International University in Miami. In the future, I would like to pursue my interests in the field of Medicine or to secure an industrial development position in the Biomedical field focusing on regenerative medicine.

Experience

I began tutoring as a sophomore in high school at MAST Academy. Since then, I’ve had years of experience working with students independently. Furthermore, I also served as a Physics Learning Assistant with the FIU Learning Center for two years and have taken courses on effective teaching and learning methods. I greatly enjoy the fact that working as a tutor provides me with the opportunity to have a positive and personal impact on someone’s education and learning experience.

Approach

As a tutor, I am very flexible. I like to focus on the specific needs and learning style of each student. In my experience, I have seen that more interactive and inquiry based approaches to teaching result in better and longer lasting learning. I aim to make students feeling at ease in the learning environment and comfortable with asking questions and venturing into what they don't understand.
