Experience

I've been mentoring/coaching foreign exchange students and my own children. I also teach Thai language to the US Airmen. All of the feedback I got is that I make them feel comfortable to share their thoughts, learn, and do homework. They feel safe in my classroom.

I am a member of National Language Service Corps as a Thai Language Consultant. This opportunity allows me to volunteer my language skills to help and support others when a U.S. Government requirement arises.

Approach

Based on my experience as a teacher and a language learner, I enjoy lessons that are fun and engaging. I would create a positive environment within the classroom. I would also use interactive learning activities to make lessons more fun and help students feel comfortable to express their thoughts. Students are more likely to cooperate and engage in class when they feel comfortable and safe.
