About Me
I am a junior pre-med student at the University of Texas at Austin where I am earning a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology, a minor in Core Texts and Ideas, and a certificate in Pre-Health Professions. I currently have a 4.0 GPA and am Cum Laude Ampla et Magna on the Dean’s Honor List. I have received University Honor's every year at UT and I am a member of the Jefferson's Scholars Honor Society.
I hope to go on to medical school and become an amazing doctor and help others!
Experience
I have been tutoring in a variety of subjects for over 5 years. My areas of expertise are math, science, history, English and test prep. In science, I am experienced with college level biology, chemistry, environmental science, and psychology. I have provided test preparation for the PSAT, SAT, ACT, AP Tests, and STAAR Tests.
I know from personal experience how frustrating it can be to not understand a specific subject. I hope that I can be the one to help a struggling student reach success.
Approach
Over my years of tutoring experience, i've learned that everyone absorbs information differently. For some people, the large classroom format works great and they are able to thrive in a traditional school setting. Unfortunately, this is not the case for the most of us. I like to work WITH my student as a partner, learning what methods work best for them and how they respond to certain teaching styles. I personalize every appointment to the student and have found this leads to fantastic results!
