Fun Facts
Nothing matches my passion for teaching but my passion for poetry, music and dark tea.
About Me
I studied Both Arabic and English, taught Arabic for non-Arab learners, ESL and English literature for Egyptian students at high school and university, and translated many literary works from Arabic to English. My goal has ever been to contribute to the mutual understanding between cultures. This is the main reason why I quit my career in Egypt and came to live in America. One needs to live a culture in order to assimilate it.
Experience
As a high school teacher, I came to understand the needs of learners and the difficulties they may face. Then I earned my PhD in English language and literature and starting teaching college students. I taught literature, ESL and Arabic for non-Arab students. I tried my hand in translation and published some literary works I translated from Arabic to English. Working for Frog Tutoring will give me the chance to meet new learners.
Approach
It is a great joy when you understand the nature and mind of a learner and help him overcome learning difficulties. There is no single perfect theory of teaching. Teaching and learning are context-based activities.
