Fun Facts
I LOVE to travel! I have been to 43 out of 50 states in the U.S and a few European countries. I work in the medical field and love to interact with my patients :) I enjoy teaching Russian to 7 year olds at my church. I enjoy singing in the church choir. In the near future I would like to learn how to dance and do pottery!
About Me
I graduated from Sacramento State University with a Bachelor's degree. I also have 2 Associates' degrees in Physical Sciences and Mathematics. I am also a certified pharmacy technician and a certified clinical research professional. I am considering going back to school for a Master's degree in Clinical Research.
Experience
I have tutored various age groups and various subjects. I have helped second graders with reading and comprehension. I taught Russian to 7 year olds for 3 years. I tutored microbiology and various math classes in college. I was a teacher's assistant in a bacteriology class. I loved it every time when that light bulb went off once the students got a difficult concept!
Approach
At a young age I have struggled in school. An elementary school teacher took an interest in me and helped me figure out how I learn best. I am a very visual learner and realizing that has helped me utilize the appropriate learning techniques. This is what I always start with at the first tutoring session: figuring out how the student learns best and then tailoring each subsequent session based on their learning style.

I have an Associate's degree in Mathematics and a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences. I have completed up to Calculus 2 in a college setting. Calculus 2 was the only math class that I got a B in. All the rest of my math classes were completed with an A and in the top 5 percent of my class.

Conversational Russian Tutoring
I am a native speaker of the Russian language. In addition I currently teach it at our church to 7 year olds. We start out with the alphabet and by the end of the semester the children are able to read short sentences in Russian and write out simple words.
