Fun Facts

One of the things I enjoy the most besides reading and dancing is watching scary movies. I love suspence movies and feeling scared. Usually I watch them on my own because my friends do not enjoy them as much as I do. I am in love with NYC skyline’s views at night. Even when I am on my way home after a tough day, a nice view of the city can change my mood.

About Me

I love languages and I have two majors, one BA in English Literature and one is Spanish Education. I also have a certificate in Translation and Interpretation. I am a really passionate student and maintain a high GPA during my college years. I also love teaching, and I am planning to start my Master in Chilhood Bilingual soon.

Experience

My passion about teaching has allowed me to tutor young cousins with Math and reading writing while I was in High School, from that experience I learned that I wanted to become a teacher, and while I went to college I worked as a Spanish teacher in Elementary School for three years. Then I moved to NYC, and I kept tutoring young children, I taught them Spanish songs, games and vocabulary words and reading and writing to some children that are advanced in Spanish.

Approach

English is my second language and I learned it when I was in my young twenties. As a result, I am aware of the barriers and challenges of learning a second language. My lessons help the students to enjoy learning new vocabulary, and feel confident speaking Spanish. I am very creative and flexible, and that allow me to adjust to the students needs and encourage them to love learning and love the language.
