Fun Facts
I was a competitive volleyball player for 5 years and was the coach of a non-profit club. In my spare time outside of the classroom, I take care of my dog, exercise, and study some more! I can never get enough.
About Me
I am a graduate student currently obtaining an MBA before becoming a candidate for my Pharm.D at the University of Florida. My undergraduate experience landed me a 3.6 GPA at the miami">University of Miami with a BS in Chemistry and Psychology, as well as a score in the 96th percentile of the PCAT. I hope to one day be the CEO of a pharmaceutical company.
Experience
I have been tutoring for as an independent contractor all throughout my undergraduate experience with elementary students through high school in math, science, chemistry, and study skills. On the side I tutored my peers in all of their pre-medical classes since I was a chemistry major. Now as a graduate student I have a steady population of pre-med students that I tutor in pre-medical classes and prepare them for the MCAT as well as PCAT.
Approach
I have found that at the core, science is very hard to understand if a teacher does not present it at a understandable level. I take the approach of strategizing from what each individual student hopes to achieve, if the goal is an "A" that is where we begin. We strategize how to attain the A and go from that point forward. I think that foundations are important and that is where I start to build their groundwork to advance in the subject.
