Fun Facts
I am originally from Seattle, Washington, and I love to hike and ski when I get the chance to go back home. In high school I was on the cross country team, and I have continued to develop my passion for distance running in college. I recently ran my first marathon! When not doing something outdoors, I enjoy sportswriting for the BC Heights, an independent student newspaper, and talking sports on FM and AM Radio through WZBCSports, a student radio station.
About Me
I am a sophomore at Boston College planning on majoring in Math and Economics. I have been on the Dean's List each semester at BC. When I graduate I am not entirely sure what I want to do, but I would love to be involved in the fields of Sports Economics or Data Analytics.
Experience
I began tutoring during my senior year of high school as a peer tutor for fellow students who were struggling in math classes. During the summer of 2017, I worked for a tutoring company preparing students going into the 9th through 12th grades for both the math and writing sections of the SAT and ACT. This academic year, I am spending two days a week volunteering for an after-school program for high school students at local high schools teaching them life skills and assisting them with homework
Approach
My time tutoring has taught me the joys of working with all kinds of students and I have come to love that “a-ha” moment when they finally understand how to solve difficult problems. I always bring a positive attitude to to my tutoring and I hope that this attitude always creates a friendly environment where students are comfortable asking questions and feel at ease learning. I believe it is my responsibility to help my students fully understand the material they are struggling with.

Math and Economics
Calculus 2 Tutoring
I have previous experience with Calculus I and Calculus II through my high school Honors Calculus BC course. The course was designed to teach a rigorous foundation of Calculus concepts and prepare students for the Calculus II AP. I took the AP at the end of my junior year and earned a 5.
Calculus 3 Tutoring
I have taken two separate Calculus III courses at the honors level before, earning an A in both. My math major in college requires me to take a number of classes that build on the concepts learned in Calculus III. This, in turn requires that I have a deep understanding of all the concepts taught in Calculus III. I have previous experience tutoring this subject in an informal capacity, having helped my friends with their coursework.
College Algebra Tutoring
I have a very solid background in both learning and tutoring Algebra. I have taken both Algebra I and Algebra II courses before, and I spent the summer of 2017 tutoring students in Algebra I and Algebra II concepts as part of a test prep class.
Economics Tutoring
I have a solid background in Economics, starting with Introduction to Micro and Macroeconomics classes that I took in high school. I took both the AP Microeconomics and AP Macroeconomics test in high school, earning a 5 and a 4, respectively. In college, I have taken both Micro and Macroeconomic Theory courses, as well as a class in Economic Statistics, and am planning on majoring in Economics.
Math Tutoring
My prior math experience includes a large number of math courses from elementary school math to Linear Algebra to Introduction to Abstract Mathematics. In college I have taken Calculus III, Linear Algebra, and Introduction to Abstract Math, earning A's in all three classes. In high school I took Honors Geometry, Honors Pre-Calculus, Honors Calculus BC, and Honors Calculus III, earning a 5 on the Calculus II AP
Pre Calculus Tutoring
I have previous experience with Pre-Calculus from my high school education, having taken Honors Pre-Calculus my sophomore year and earning an A.
Trigonometry Tutoring
I have previous experience with Trigonometry from High School in my Honors Geometry class. The class was challenging, and provided a rigorous background of Trigonometry and the associated concepts.

I have previous experience with Geometry from High School in my Honors Geometry class. The class was challenging, and provided a rigorous background of Geometry, proofs, vectors, and trigonometry.
Macro Economics Tutoring
