I love to tutor students. Sometimes, I find it efficient to study a subject by tutoring other students. So when I review my courses, I sometimes pretend that I am a beginner and teach myself to review the material. And I am passionate about doodling. If you walk into my room, you can find many DIY paintings hanging on the wall.

About Me

I am a sophomore studying science/texas/houston">Computer Science at Rice University. I am also pursuing a Statistics minor. My cumulative GPA is 3.76. When I graduate, I want to become a software engineer.

Experience

In last summer, I joined an educational institution and had the opportunity to tutor fifteen high school students on AP science/texas/houston">Computer Science and some Python courses. I designed projects for them, graded their homework and organized lab sessions to practice their programming skills. In last winter break, I tutored a high school girl on SAT Math and AP Calculus BC via Skype. I also tutored an American student on Chinese via Skype.Such online tutoring makes me interested in applying for an online tutor

Approach

As a student, I realize that it is more important to know how to study instead of studying a certain subject. If you mastered the studying method, it would be easier for you to study all the subjects. Therefore, as a tutor, I will try to inspire the students to find their study skills instead of giving them the answer. And I also try to encourage every student and always make them curious about and interested in their subjects.
