Fun Facts

I am an avid Cleveland sports fan! Although it is one of the most exhausting cities to be a fan of, I am always rooting for my teams-especially the Indians! My family has 10 chickens as pets. I know this is not as normal as having a dog, but it is always nice having fresh eggs. I am also obsessed with Oreo’s. Every time I visit home, my dad makes sure the house is stocked with them.

About Me

I am a senior Strategic Communication major at Ohio State. I have made the Dean’s List the past 3 semesters. I am graduating in December and will be working in the Human Resources Department at an IT Consulting company in Columbus.

My senior year in high school, I participated in the Teacher Education Exploration program (TEE) through my high school and our community college. This was basically a teaching internship experience in which we spent half of our day in our high school classes and the other half in a variety of grade levels and subject areas within our school district. Time in these classrooms consisted of working with both groups of students and columbus">tutoring one-on-one. I absolutely love working with kids and am even considering going back to school to teach.

Sometimes school can get very overwhelming. I have learned that many subjects are not as bad if you break them down into smaller pieces. I believe that mastering a concept begins with organizing your thoughts. I have always been a huge fan of color-coding important concepts and of the use of flash cards. Working through numerous examples is the most realistic approach to doing well on tests. However, it is important to remember that everyone learns differently. As a columbus">tutor, I would alter my approach depending on the student.
