Fun Facts
I spend a lot of time outdoors enjoying all the four seasons that living in New England offers. I enjoy reading, sewing, cooking and spending time with my three boys.
About Me
I am fortunate to teach ESL to Chinese children. I enjoy meeting my far away students and appreciate learning about their culture. I graduated from Daemen College with a B.S. in Physical Therapy and have practiced for over twenty-five years. One of the most rewarding parts of my job as a physical therapist is teaching my patients. Tutoring students has been a natural extension for me.
Experience
I have been tutoring middle school students for over ten years. I have taught many interesting classes out of my home including Cytology, Astronomy, and Chemistry. I have also taught English, NH Wildlife and Archeology.
Approach
I am naturally an enthusiastic teacher who easily can transfer my energy to my students. I believe learning should be fun and work hard to make my students feel at ease. One thing that I have learned while teaching is that if my students are not understanding the material or they are not interested in learning, than that falls on me. It is my job to find out how to make the subject come alive for my students.

Physical Therapy
Anatomy Physiology I Tutoring
I took college level Anatomy and Physiology with labs and have tutored Anatomy and Physiology. I use a lot of visuals and memory mnemonics to help my students succeed. Anatomy and Physiology is my favorite subject to tutor.
Homework Coach Tutoring
As a tutor it is important to understand your student to be able to best help them learn how to prepare for their own pathway to academic excellence. Each students has different strengths and weaknesses and I have always tried to meet the student where they and find a creative solution to helping them improve their study habits and organizational skills.
Biology Tutoring
I have a B.S in Physical Therapy and a minor in Biology. I have taught several biology classes out of my home and have tutored many middle school students. Opening the door to the wonders of science energizes me and i never get bored with sharing the wonders of the subject.
Science Tutoring
I have been tutoring science subjects for over ten years. I have taught many science classes out of my home including Cytology, Anatomy and Physiology, chemistry and NH Wild Life. This spring I am planning to teach a Botany and in the fall I am looking forward to teaching an Auto Shop class on two stroke engines.
ESL Tutoring
I teach ESL to Chinese students using an online platform. I am a five star rated teacher and I think my success is due to my ability to have fun with my students allowing them to relax. I understand that learning a new language is not only difficult but stressful for my young students. I admire their courage and love the opportunity I have to teach them.
Study Skills Tutoring
I am very aware of the difficulties students face when learning to study. Every personality comes with strengths and weaknesses. Finding a balance of how to coach and encourage a student while teaching them to become independent is a challenge but worth the effort.
