About Me
I enjoy learning and helping others learn. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Art History and my minor is Spanish. I am currently attending Grad School at UT Dallas in Richardson, Texas. I have been a free-lance artist for over 30 years. I am currently a substitute teacher for the Fort Worth ISD so my schedule is flexible. I was employed as a student for four years at the Architecture and Fine Arts Library at UTA.
For the last 30 years I have tutored and taught several languages and art mediums in oil and water-colors, freelance. In the last year I have taught elementary students math, science and Spanish.I enjoy teaching, it is my passion.
My approach in tutoring is find the strength that a student has in a subject and contrast that with the student's weaknesses but focus on the positive strengths. Repetition only works when it is presented in a timed and natural setting, however, if repetition is presented in the correct form, the subject becomes second nature to the student. I believe the best way for a student to really know a subject is to be introduced to the subject in its environment. For example, art museums are the best environment to learn art history.
