Fun Facts

I love to travel! I have spent a semester in Italy and traveled to South Africa for my honeymoon. I hope to see more of the world in the near future. I am also a HUGE baseball fanatic, especially the Yankees. I am trying to visit all MLB stadiums in the US, so far I have only visited 8, so I have a long way to go to reach 30.

About Me

I am a Sociology Master's candidate at charlotte">UNC Charlotte. All I have left to complete is my Master's thesis, which is sports related. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from SUNY Brockport with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Sociology. My GPA was 3.55/4.0.

Experience

I have tutored several students while an undergraduate student at Brockport. Some of the classes include: Italian, College Algebra, College Statistics, Discrete Math, and Calculus. I also worked as an adjunct professor, teaching College Algebra 1 and 2, as well as College Statistics.

Approach

As a tutor, I try to bring out the best in my students. I definitely use positive reinforcement and encouragement. I believe that repetition works well when tackling difficult material, and believe that work between sessions yields improvement. I love seeing students reach their true potential and sparkle in their eyes when they truly start understanding.
