Fun Facts

Soccer is my favorite sport. I have been playing soccer since 18 years ago. I used to play in a professional indoor soccer league. I still play soccer twice a week. I also love music, swimming, and camping. I like to explore different cultures music.
One passion people quickly learn about me is that I am generous! Any time I have a chance, I try to help other people around me. I am the oldest of six. Although I am horrible at it, I enjoy singing. I also like traveling a lot and going to nature.

About Me

I am a last year Ph.D. student in engineering. I am almost done with my research and will be graduating soon. Numerical analysis in the area of my expertise. Programming and mathematics are my favorite areas of study. I like solving mathematical equations using different numerical methods. I like to teach what I know to others. I have taught several courses to undergraduate students. My ultimate goal is to have my own company in oil and gas industry. Until then, I would like to work for a company.

Experience

I have six years experience in teaching and research. I used to teach three undergraduate classes. I love teaching and enjoy spending time with children. In research, I solve engineering problems numerically. For that I program the mathematical formulations using different languages.
Upon entering college, I was eager to begin working with students again and volunteered my time teaching undergraduate students at Mentor Tech program.

Approach

My approach is to make the classroom fun. I think students are more likely to learn in a fun environment. Also, I like to give several examples because that is how I learn things. As a tutor, I try to bring these two approaches to the sessions.
As a child, I was eager towards learning new things. In middle school, I was fortunate enough to have teachers who, through positive encouragement and persistence, helped me realize my true potential. I believe that a good mentor can help one to success
