Fun Facts
Boring as it sounds, I love astronomy, always had a passion for astrophysics, studying celestial objects and space science. I'm a terrible singer, but I live for music! My eclectic taste covers quite several genres. I also love writing poetry, even though I find myself doing less of it recently. I enjoy playing and watching sports, mostly basketball and soccer. Finally, I enjoy giving back to the community by getting involved in some community volunteer activities like tutoring kids.
About Me
I recently completed my Masters degree in Petroleum Engineering at houston">University of Houston where I currently work as a Graduate assistant carrying out some research for the Texas State Government. Over the past few years, I have come to develop a keen interest in the world Finance and Data Science. My ultimate goal is to grow into a well-rounded engineer that provides innovative solutions to challenges using current technology in the world today.
Experience
As a member of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) during my undergrad years, I have been a volunteer tutor for high school and middle school students. During the summer, I spent my time tutoring mentees assigned to me as part of being an executive member of the NSBE. I served for one year after college where I taught High School Seniors chemistry, physics, mathematics and calculus. Joining Frog tutoring gives me a platform to continue doing more of what I love.
Approach
I realize all students don't have the same style of understanding. Being aware of this, I figure out each person's peculiar style and adapt to it! It's really simple. I have been teaching with this approach for years now and I find my students very contempt. I still have a number of them that keep in touch because I was that teacher that made them discover their true potential.
