Fun Facts

A passion people quickly observe about me is my obsession with kids, I absolutely loves kids. I love being around them , just listening to the extravagant stories makes me smile. Growing up I remember my mom always telling me one day I will be come a teacher, she always said that because I loved being a teacher to my stuff animals and dolls. I remember lining up my stuff animals on the floor, give each and one them a specific name and literally pass out papers while teaching them!

About Me

I am a Junior at Florida International University, studying Early Childhood Development. This is currently my second semester at FIU, I transferred from Broward College after archiving my Associate Degree. Must admit Transiting from a community college to an 4 year college was a tad bit different but yet I stilled pulled in great grades and landed on Dean's List my very first semester. My long term goal after graduating, is to open up my very own Daycare/Academy.

Experience

While attending Broward College, I had the amazing opportunity to be a after-school tutor for my old elementary school. I absolutely loved each and every experience that came with being an tutor. I've helped so many students, build some amazing bonds with my students. Overall it was just a great experience. Also being in the Education program at FIU, we are required to do Field Experience which is basically getting assigned to a school and shadowing a teacher and working 1 on 1.

Approach

One of my biggest struggles in Elementary school is not always understanding the way my teacher would teach different lessons. My parents did find a problem and was very worried. I was fortunate enough to be able to have an Tutor who came to my house after school. She was amazing , she was able to break down and explain my lessons so accurately. What I found essential is that she was able to teach me multiple different ways to learn one subject. As a tutor, I want to provide multiple ways.
